BEIJING, 18 May (BelTA — China Daily) — During a recent meeting convened
by the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, it was
announced that Beijing is poised to delve deeper into the rich cultural
and tourism resources surrounding the Great Wall.

The bureau
outlined its commitment to enhancing the visitor experience along the
445-kilometer Great Wall National Scenic Route by optimizing public
service facilities. Additionally, efforts will be made to capitalize on
the historical significance of the Great Wall and the ancient relics
along its path to introduce new high-quality tourist routes to cater to
diverse interests.

In a bid to preserve and promote intangible
cultural heritage projects within the Great Wall cultural belt, the
bureau pledged its support to these initiatives. The meeting also put
forth plans to launch six distinctive Great Wall relics trips and urged
travel agencies to innovate and develop a wider array of tour products
to attract visitors.
