Chapel unveiled at memorial in Krupki District
On the initiative of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation, the State Security Committee of the Republic of Belarus, and veteran organizations, a memorial chapel has been erected in Krupki District as part of the charitable program «Silent Echo of War». The chapel stands on the site of a battle where, in 1944, Vasily Chebotarev, an operational officer of the special Smersh unit, was killed. A symbolic Memory Alley of coniferous trees was planted during the event.
